Israel Premiattech confirmed the 2025 season's 30-man roster to take their last year in pursuit of returning to WorldTour status
This was confirmed with an extension of veteran Michael Schwartzman's contract on Monday. Schwarzman is one of more than 30 of the 15 riders on the IPT roster next year, with experienced heads Chris Froome, Jakob Fuglsang and Michael Woods all contracted until the end of 2025.
It could be Froome's last year in 2021 after 4 Tour de France winners joined from Ineos. Woods, Fuglsang and Simon Clarke are also all over the age of 38, so IPT will welcome a new era in 2026 if we can return to normal on the uci World Tour.
After being demoted from the top division of cycling at the end of 2022, Israel Premiattech quickly backed up the point ladder during the three-year cycle of 2023-2025, ending this past season with 18th place or more required to win WT licenses.
"IPT has had a successful season this year. We were consistently recording victories and great results throughout the season," said the team's General Manager Kjell Carlström in the team's season review.
"This puts us in a good place for the last year of the UCI WorldTour license cycle to secure a license. We still have to have a good season in 2025, but we're on the right track.
They appear to be ready to return to the world tour in 2026, alongside Lotto Dstny, who was demoted in 2022, with 21,745 points, leaving the 19th-ranked Arkéa-B&B hotel close to 6,000 points.
However, they are expected to be among the top 3 hotels in 2024. We must make sure that we continue to do great work and return to the top division, including Stephen Williams, Corbin Strong and Derek Gee, who are top point scorers
Williams especially with an overall win on the down-under tour and a huge day result at Fleshe Wallonne where he conquers Moule de Huy to take the win
"It was a really good season, something I might have dreamed of this time last year," said Williams in a season review of Ipt.
"Taking the biggest win of my career is very special, but the way I stepped up this year has been fantastic. I look forward to improving further and winning some nice races again in 2025.
Their confirmed roster includes 3 new signatures Alexey Lutsenko, Jan Hirt, Matis Louvel and Pier-André Côté have stepped up from the development team to the senior team.
