zondacrypto became co-title sponsor of the Canyon-SRAM Racing top team and the Canyon-SRAM Generation development team last week in Monaco, and a new three-year contract was signed to use the new name from 2025 to 2027. The new three-year agreement will run from 2025 to 2027. Niewiadoma participated in the team event in Monaco.
“We are excited to have zondacrypto as one of our main partners starting in 2025. They are a partner,” team manager Ronnie Lauke said in a press release distributed Tuesday.
The Canyon-SRAM team was founded by Lauke in 2016, and the team moved to the World Tour level four years ago; after winning just three national championships in 2020, the team won the Giro d'Italia women, Tour de Suisse women, and Tour de France women overall last year. The team has made the leap to one of the top-level strong teams, winning stages in the Giro d'Italia, Tour de Suisse, and Tour de France women's overall.
Zondacrypto was founded in Poland in 2014 as a bitcoin platform and now offers more than 70 cryptocurrencies paired with traditional currencies such as the euro and US dollar. The Dutch rider had announced the day before his move from Team SD Works Pro Time to FDJ-SUEZ, allowing the two to continue their fight for a second yellow jersey at the Tour.
“Compared to previous editions, the difficulty level has increased, especially in the mid-mountain stages. The course has become more difficult overall. We are here to evolve at the same pace as women's cycling. Over the last four years, the overall level has really increased so we can ride more highs and lows, and 2025 looks just as bright as 2024,” Tour de France Femme director Marion Rousse told RTBF News.
The first winner of the Tour de France Femme was Annemiek van Fruten (now retired), who shared the podium with Voerling in second place and Niewiadoma in third.
