Ineos Grenadiers Completes 2025 Roster with Signing of Lucas Hamilton

Ineos Grenadiers announced the signing of Lucas Hamilton, completing the team for the 2025 season.

The Australian climber, who joins from Jayco Aroura, joins Bob Jungels (Red Bull - Bora-Hansgrohe), Axel Laurance (Alpecin - Deceuninck), Samuel Watson (Groupama - FDJ), Victor Langelotti (Burgos - BH), and Peter Oxenberg (Koroquik), becoming the team's sixth player signed for next year.

Hamilton, 28, turned professional in 2017 at Jayco Alura and has spent his entire professional career there to date. He won the Settimana Coppi e Bartali in 2019, and his biggest win came on the fourth stage of the 2020 Tirreno Adriatico, outrunning Fausto Masnada in Cascia.

Hamilton also has a stage win at the 2019 Czech Cycling Tour, the 2017 Oceania continental road title, and fourth overall at Paris-Nice in 2021.

“I am very excited to be joining the Ineos Grenadiers. I have watched the team's success from the outside for many years and have a deep respect for their accomplishments,” Hamilton said. [Being part of such a prestigious organization is a great opportunity for me and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the team. I can't wait to get to work and work with my new teammates."

With Hamilton's addition, the Ineos Grenadiers will have 30 riders for 2025, barring any unexpected transfers.

Honatan Narvaez (UAE Team Emirates), Ethan Hayter (Soudal-Quick Step), and Luke Rowe will retire and join Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale as directeur sportif.

With this deal, Elia Viviani and Cameron Waugh will not be with Ineos next season.

Ineos Grenadiers performance director Scott Drewer said Hamilton's experience will help “establish a new approach within the team” and strengthen the rider lineup.

“Lucas has shown his ability in the past and we believe in his talent and potential as a bike rider. He will work well with the other riders and we are confident that he will respond to our support with our new coaching and performance setup."

”Lucas has shown his ability in the past and we believe in his talent and potential as a bike rider.

“A big part of what we are aiming for is not only to strengthen our riders, but also to establish a new approach within the team. Lucas has experience in a variety of races and is in an important position for us.

In addition to signing Hamilton, Ineos also announced the appointment of two backroom staff members to continue the team's behind-the-scenes overhaul. Dr. Billy Fitton joins from British Cycling as head of engineering and technology, and Paddy Harrison joins as performance coordinator and coach.
