The dark, cold nights are upon us, and we cyclists are struggling through the off-season of road cycling, pulling out our warm clothes from the back of the wardrobe, blowing the cobwebs out of our turbo trainers, and poring over next year's Tour de France route.
But in cycling news, aside from waterproof jacket reviews and sweaty turbo trainer sessions in the garage, we're excited about what November has to offer.
Having said that the road cycling season is basically over, there are two final races to wrap up the year.
Cyclingnews' Australian editor Simone Giuliani will travel to Asia for the season-ending Tour de France criterium races in Saitama and Singapore.
She will be on site to report on both races, as well as get subscriber-only feature stories from some of this season's top riders.
Speaking of subscribers, we recently added an extra personal touch to our members-only newsletter, Musette. Each week, a member of the Cycling News editorial team writes his or her thoughts on the latest developments in the cycling world, giving you the inside scoop that only Cycling News subscribers get to see.
If you are already a subscriber, make sure you get the best information Cycling News has to offer every week. Subscribe to Musette today.
This month's premium articles from the racing world include a deep dive into the stats and numbers for the 2024 season, a lengthy read on the health risks associated with doping and drugs on the banned list, and a lid-lifting feature on the current state of salaries in the pro peloton.
For those who haven't had enough, there is also a mega-test of road wheelsets.
With the feedback we've received on our recent tests of aero helmets, superbikes, tires, bib shorts, and more, we decided to listen to you and compare different wheelsets in the industry to each other.
This test should help us determine which road wheels offer the best bang for the buck and which don't live up to the hype.
Elsewhere, the Cycling News team will be heading to Rouleur Live to soak in all the latest technology on display and interview some of the cycling stars on the show's guest list. Be sure to stay tuned for the tech gallery and featured content from the event.
And finally, we'll be covering Black Friday.
