Taddei Pogachal and Lemko Evenpoel to compete in the last team event before the end of the 2024 season.

The 2024 racing season came to a close over the weekend, but before the off-season and the vacations, athletes and teams are preparing for their end-of-season team gatherings.

UAE Team Emirates, Sudar Quickstep, and Tudor are among the teams gathering around the region this week to celebrate the 2024 season, welcome new competitors, conduct medical checks and equipment fittings, and outline the 2025 race calendar.

The Tudor team will welcome new leaders Julien Alaphilippe and Marc Hirsch at a get-together near the Swiss service course to earn a wildcard into the 2025 Tour de France and other World Tour races.

Some riders were returning directly from the Tour of the West to Australia and the United States, while others were still in Europe waiting for team meetings.

Some of the Jayco Alura team, including new leader Ben O'Connor, were in Turin, Italy last week for their first medical checks and team meetings.

Tadei Pogachal has apparently booked a vacation in the Seychelles with his partner and fellow rider Urschka Zigato, and will spend a few days in the United Arab Emirates this week.

UAE Team Emirates will celebrate Pogachar's Giro d'Italia and Tour de France double titles, world title, and 2024 World Tour domination. The riders will also participate in the annual community ride on Thursday.

“We will be back in the UAE for the #WeAreUAE community ride! Save the date and come ride with the team. The team recently announced.

Pogacher will also be in the UAE for the UCI ESports World Championships on Saturday, hosted by team sponsor MyWhoosh.

After finishing the 2024 season in second place behind Pogachar in Il Lombardia, Remco Evenepoel will begin thinking about 2025 at the Soudal Quickstep team meeting this week near Soudal's headquarters in Turnhout, Belgium.

Soudal Quick-Step will welcome new riders between October 21 and 25 to celebrate Evenepoel's podium debut at the Tour de France.

Evenepoel can then take a month off; he will likely miss the 2025 Tour de France presentation in Paris on October 29 and the 2025 Giro d'Italia presentation in Rome on November 12.

Soudal-Quick Step, like many other leading teams, will have its first winter training camp in December, spending two weeks on the Spanish coast to rack up important winter kilometers.
