Unbound Gravel Winner Rosa Kleiser Aims to Combine Privateer Activities and World Tour Racing at Canyon-SRAM in 2025

Rosa Kreiser, winner of the women's pro race Unbound Gravel 200, has signed a two-year contract with Canyon Slam and will compete on the WorldTour road next season.

The 28-year-old German is relatively new to cycling, winning her debut in a headline gravel race event in June while enrolled in a full-time PhD program with a breathless sprint in a 320km race.

Claser will continue to race gravel as a privateer, but hopes to develop as a road racer with her home team, Canyon-SRAM, and showcase her talents in classics and grand tours.

“While my main focus next season will be on gravel as a privateer, the ability to race with incredibly talented teammates, a team structure and road calendar led by an experienced support staff is a huge step forward in my still fairly new cycling career. I am confident that I will be able to take steps forward and unlock new possibilities,” Kresser said on the Canyon-SRAM website.

“With my background in gravel racing, I believe I can be a pretty versatile rider. I want to test myself in classic races and support my team's GC in the mountain stages of the Grand Tours. I look forward to seeing where my limits are.”

Kresser began cycling in Denmark in 2022 while pursuing a PhD in green shipping at Copenhagen Business School, and has earned several podium finishes in the 2023 and 2024 UCI Gravel World Series and won the Kansas Un Bound, where he won the race.

With the addition of defending Tour de France Femme champion Kasia Niewiadoma to her Canyon-SRAM team, Kraeser took another leap forward in her cycling career.

“I'm still a full-time PhD student and only stepped into cycling about three years ago, but winning the Unbound 200 in my debut year was the biggest moment of my cycling career so far.

“Since I started cycling about three years ago, I have looked up to Canyon/SRAM Racing as one of the leading teams in the Women's World Tour. From my first conversation with the team, I knew I would feel at home here."

She cut her teeth in local races in Copenhagen, competing in the Tour de Berlin Féminine in 2023 and the German national championship road race in 2024.

Crosser is the fifth Canyon-Slam signing announced for 2025, along with Cecilie Uttrup-Ludwig, Maria Martins, Wilma Eintilla, and Anastasia Kolesava, who was also announced Monday morning.

“Joining Canyon/SRAM Racing next year is a big step for me.

“I am an all-rounder who can handle the spring classics and help the team in the stage races. I can position my teammates in the peloton and have good race instincts. My goal for next season is to grow as a rider and help my teammates.”
