Elinor Beckstedt, along with Longo Borghini and Chapman, move from Lidl Trek to UAE ADQ in 2025.

British all-rounder Elinor Beckstedt joins Lidl Trek teammates Elisa Longo Borghini and Brody Champman at UAE ADQ, where the 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract.

After a successful junior career, Beckstedt turned pro at a young age with Trek Segafredo in 2020 and has spent most of the last four years as a loyal domestique.

Still, over the past five seasons, she has proven invaluable to the likes of Longo Borghini in his pursuit of victory. [She was teammates with Elisa for five years and with Brodie for two years. I was teammates with Elisa for five years and with Brody for two years. They are great teammates, so that was certainly a factor in my moving to UAE team ADQ, but I look forward to getting to know all the riders,” Beckstedt said in a press release.

“I can't wait to help Elisa and the other riders, but I'm also looking forward to talking with the coaches and setting new goals for myself. TT has been on the back burner for the past few years, so I'm looking forward to improving a bit more and seeing what this move can take out of me.”

Elinor is the eldest of the Beckstedt sisters, and 20-year-old Zoe competes on the Women's World Tour with Canyon-SRAM; they are the daughters of 2004 Paris-Roubaix winner Magnus Beckstedt and 1998 British national champion Megan Beckstedt (maiden name Hughes), have a strong cycling pedigree as daughters.

Despite her young age and wealth of experience, she had yet to win as a professional, and perhaps feeling stagnant in her development, Beckstedt felt it was time to leave Lidl Trek.

“Sometimes you need a new challenge, and this looks like a great challenge. I felt the time was right for a change,” she said. [And finally, I got the chance to race for UAE Team ADQ. I tried to find a team that would give me the best I could do, and I felt UAE Team ADQ was a great opportunity.

“I want to get to the top of more races and try to win more championships. I had a tough start to my junior year, so in that sense I'm a couple of years behind. I've grown a lot since then, but I feel like I still have a lot to offer, so I really want to win next year.”
