The women's peloton will bid farewell to several athletes and retire at the Simac Ladies Tour, the last European Women's World Tour race of the 2024 season.
They include two players from Human Powered Health, Audrey Cordon-Lago and Alice Wood.
Cordon-Lago, a Frenchwoman, will end her 17-year career with a six-day Dutch race. Competing for teams such as Vien Futuroscope, Wiggle High 5, and Trek Segafredo, she won 21 races, including nine national titles.
“I've tried not to think too much,” Cordon-Lagotte said before the race, which opens with a time trial on Tuesday.
“I've stayed focused and kept training hard. It was really important to stay motivated this year.
“It's the last jersey I'll wear in the race, so it's definitely going to be special,” she added. .” she added.
Alice Wood is retiring from racing after nine years in the peloton with Drops and Canyon-SRAM. 29-year-old Alice Wood won five times as a professional and took the British road race and time trial titles.
“It feels strange that this is my last race. It feels like the right time to end my career.

Cordon-Lago and Wood started their final race in the women's peloton by placing 16th and 42nd in the 10km time trial in Gennep, which was won by Zoe Beckstedt (Canyon Slam). The race continues Wednesday afternoon with a 155 km sprint stage to Assen.
