Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale has announced four new players, four contract extensions, and a full roster of 30 players for the 2025 season.
Stefan Bissegger (EF Education-Easy Post), Callum Scottson (Groupama-FDJ), Johannes Staune Mitet (Visma-Lease-a-Bike), and Thord Gudmestad (Uno-X Mobility) will join the French team (Uno-X Mobility) will join the French team. [Time trial specialist Bissegger said in a press release, “I am very much looking forward to this new opportunity and to working with great partners to ensure a successful season ahead. The team has put a lot of work into the time trial, and we look forward to working with them to make this a successful season.”
All but Staune Mitte have joined on two-year contracts through the end of 2026, while the 22-year-old Norwegian talent, winner of last year's under-23 Giro, arrived from Wisma on a contract through 2027.
“I chose [this team] to continue my progress. My long-term goal is to keep growing and become the best rider I can be.”

They will comprise nine new riders who will be part of World Tourstead next season, four from the development team, one from the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale junior team, and French super talent and junior time trial world champion Paul Seixas will join them.
Nicolas Prodome and Stan DeWolf signed two-year contract extensions, confirming that they will be with the team until the end of 2026.
While his brother Valentin has moved to Soudal-Quickstep, the French team was able to keep one of its pare-panthers, Aurelien. He is the top rider on the roster and one of the 10 race winners of the Decathlon this season, which has seen a return to top form with the addition of a major French sporting goods store as title sponsor.
“I am very happy to continue for the next three years. I have full confidence in the team and in my partners who have given me new momentum,” said Palais Péantre.
“My teammates and staff are all people I appreciate and it's the right structure for me. So it was important for me to stay.”
2024 was a great year for the French team, with Ben O'Connor, who is moving to Jayco Arla, finishing fourth and second in the Grand Tours, and 30 wins, the most since 1999 and double the number of wins in the past five seasons.
Looking to carry this momentum into next year, Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale has taken the team's announced title as a “strategy for the future” and aims to build “a strong, competitive group for the coming years” through both youth and experience.
