Zwift is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and as part of its birthday celebration, the indoor training app-turned-ecosystem is giving away a Zwift Play handlebar-mounted controller to all eligible smart trainer buyers.
The Zwift Play controller has an MSRP of $99.99/99.99 pounds, and with winter nights approaching for those of us in the northern hemisphere, many of us are thinking about getting back on the turbo or entering the virtual cycling world for the first time.
To take advantage of this campaign, you must purchase one of the smart trainers listed from the Zwift website.
Once the smart trainer and Zwift Play controller are added to the basket, the discount is automatically applied at checkout, according to Zwift.
I checked to be sure and it worked!
With Zwift Play, you can control everything on Zwift from your handlebars. This means you no longer need to reach for your smart device, keyboard, or mouse while riding to issue ride-ons, activate power-ups, or navigate in-game menus. In addition, gameplay is more immersive thanks to new steering and braking controls.
It also unlocks Virtual Shift for quiet and smooth gear changes on compatible smart trainers. To see if your trainer supports Virtual Shift, check out Zwift's comparison chart.
