Le Corre to take on gravel with all-new arc lines

British clothing brand Le Col has entered the gravel wear market with its new ARC clothing range.

Founded by former pro rider Yanto Barker, Le Col says its all-terrain label collection is “all about performance, durability, and style.”

Le Col has previously collaborated with Bradley Wiggins and McLaren, with a primary focused on performance in roadwear. The new collection is said to be designed for riders “seeking adventure off the beaten path.

Gravel and off-road-specific kits often have features and details that are suited to off-road terrain, relaxed riding, and adventure.

A highlight of Le Col is the ARC collection, designed by an all-female design team. The collection features classic gravel and adventure materials such as merino wool and the popular Pertex Shield fabrics. As is customary in gravel wear, a wide range of storage options are incorporated into the design of ARC clothing, which is designed to accommodate changeable weather conditions. [Aside from the standard items such as shorts, jackets, top halves, caps, arm and leg warmers, there are 10 different types of ARC clothing. Here are a few highlights from the range.

£180 / $230 / €210

Available in long and short sleeves, Le Col's merino-blend jersey has a relaxed fit and the characteristic odor-resistant properties of merino. In addition to the usual three back pockets, reflective logos and a repair kit look handy.

£210 / $270 / €250

Le Col has pockets on the back and legs of its gravel bib shorts. It's a design we've never seen before. Designed for off-road use, the seat pad has a top layer of bamboo fiber blend, which Le Col says is quick-drying, wicking, and breathable.

£110 / $140 / €130

Bib shorts can be paired with Le Col's unpadded overshorts for on-bike or off-bike use. Or layer casual shorts over cycling shorts for a more relaxed ride. Made of 4-way stretch fabric for a comfortable fit, they also have zippered cargo pockets.

£280 / $360 / €330

Le Col's packable Pertex Shield jacket claims a lightweight 190g. It is said to be breathable and durable, with taped seams, elastic cuffs, and waterproof YKK zippers to shut out the weather. Le Cor comes with a repair patch in case the ripstop fabric is damaged. We'll be testing this jacket this winter to see if it makes it into our best waterproof cycling jackets guide.

Other collection items include long-sleeve, short-sleeve, and sleeveless merino baselayers priced at £75/$495/€90 and a shower-resistant peaked cap priced at £35/$45/€40.

The collection is available at Le Col's online store and at authorized Le Col retailers.
