Zwift Announces Numerous Updates for 10th Anniversary

Ten years have passed since the launch of Zwift. According to the indoor cycling app, more than 4 million events have been held on the platform, with users having traveled a total of 8.72 billion kilometers and climbed a total of 81.56 billion meters.

To commemorate this, a series of updates to the platform and a forward calendar of events and challenges for the year 2025 were announced. Details are described below.

At the same time, the Zwift Ride smart bike and Zwift Virtual Shift were opened up to a variety of new trainers, including the Wahoo Kickr V6, with new backward compatibility to upgrade existing trainers to work with Zwift hardware.

Zwift Ride is now available as a standalone purchase for the first time, allowing users to link it to their existing smart trainers to turn it into a full-fledged indoor bike.

You can also purchase the Wahoo Kickr Core Zwift One and Zwift Cog and Click from Wahoo retailers with or without a Zwift subscription.

Zwift has expanded Zwift Click virtual shift and Zwift Cog to a wider range of trainers. Initially launched on the Wahoo Kickr Core, it is now available on other Kickr trainers and other brands such as JetBlack, Elite, and Decathlon. Drops can also be consumed to exchange them for a halo bike, such as the Pinarello Espada, which may be your only chance to ride a UCI non-legal bike, and Zwift says it will only offer halo bikes to its most loyal drop store customers.

There are a variety of new challenges in September, the first of which is the Cardio Crusher, starting on September 9. This includes five workouts that are less than 60 minutes long, and if you complete them all, you will receive 250 XP.

On October 3, the Route Crusher will be released: the Grade. It will include 5 routes, 3 of which are new, and will give you a new badge for completing them.

Zwift promises to offer more challenges in the coming months.

The workout program, which will run from November 18 through January 5, will include six workouts; upon completion of the six workouts, Zwift will provide a report highlighting your strengths and weaknesses as a rider and a new challenge.

Zwift has also announced its race calendar for the upcoming season, divided into four sections: the Z-Racing Monthly, Zwift Racing League, Zwift World Series, and Zwift Games. [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
