Ineos Grenadiers announces its fourth new rider for the 2025 season, with young British rider Samuel Watson joining from Groupama-FDJ on a two-year contract.
Watson, 22, joins Bob Jungels (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), Victor Langelotti (Burgos-BH), and Peter Oxenberg (ColoQuick) in signing with the British WorldTour team for the coming year. Meanwhile, 20-year-old American talent Artem Schmidt has already joined the team
. Watson turned pro with the French team last season after being promoted from the Groupama-FDJ Continental team.
Two years ago, he won the Gent-Wevelgem U23, placed fifth in the elite Tro-Bro Léon, finished second behind Mark Cavendish in the British national championships, and this season he scored his first professional victory in the final stage of the Tour de Wallonie in July with a solo attack in the closing stages
“I've been in the Tour since the beginning.
“Joining this team is truly a dream come true, and I can't wait to start working together and see what we can achieve,” Watson said when signing with Ineos Grenadiers.
