Finn Fischer-Black will join fellow New Zealander Laurence Pitti at Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe next season.
The 22-year-old will spend three and a half years with UAE team Emirates before moving to Red Bull.
“I am very excited to start a new chapter in my career with Red Bull-Bohra-Hansgrohe next season,” said Fischer-Black. [The team has made some big moves this year and it's a project that will allow me to grow even more as a rider. I've learned a lot in my first few years on the World Tour, and now it's time to find my wings.”
[8Fischer-Black moved to the WorldTour from the UAE midway through the 2021 season after racing with the Jumbo-Visma development squad. He took his first professional win at last year's Giro di Sicilia and then made his Grand Tour debut at the Vuelta a España, finishing second behind Jonas Vingegaard on the climb to Bejes.
In addition to his stage win at the Vuelta Asturias, the 22-year-old won two races in Oman earlier this year. He finished third overall at last week's Vuelta a Burgos, but has not been selected to represent the UAE at the upcoming Vuelta a España.
Earlier this week, Red Bull-Bohra-Hansgrohe announced the signing of Fischer-Black compatriot Petit. The German team has not announced the length of the new player's contract.
The team is expected to sign a number of talented young riders for 2025, and Remco Evenpole has expressed interest if he decides to buy out his contract with Sourdal-Quickstep.
“With the acquisition of Finn, we have another great talent who has broken out this season,” said Ralf Denk, manager of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe.
“He wins both solo sprints and small group sprints and is fast in short TTs. He's still young, but he's very confident. So he's an exciting rider with a lot of potential.”
