Swiss bicycle manufacturer BMC has announced that it has updated its URS series of adventure gravel bikes to make them more adventure-ready. The new URS series consists of four models, including the URS AMP, an e-bike with a TQ motor.
The URS series is positioned alongside the Kaius in BMC's stable, with the URS being a more bikepacking and adventure-focused platform and the Kaius purely targeted at gravel racing The latest updates to the URS series are, URS further in the direction of adventure bikes by increasing tire clearance and accommodating dropper posts and suspension forks.
BMC has released four models, each with different features: along with the URS, there is the URS 01, URS 01 LT, and URS AMP electric gravel bike, all of which BMC says are part of the brand's “heritage of precision, performance, and technology; exploration, adventure, tuned to the spirit of pushing boundaries.”
