Dylan Theuns Leaves Israel Premier Tech, Signs Two-Year Contract with Cofidis

Dylan Theuns has left Israel Premier Tech and signed a two-year contract with Cofidis starting in 2025. The Belgian rider will bring both Grand Tour and Classics experience to the French WorldTour team and said he aims to bring the team podiums in the biggest races.

"Cedric Vasseur was one of the first directors interested in me this year and contacted me very early in the season. I was interested in his project and the great history of Cofidis was also a source of motivation," Tüns said in a Cofidis team press release. [Frank Vandenbrouck was the last rider to win the Monument in Cofidis (Liège-Bastogne-Liège in 1999). I want to do everything in my power to be on the podium in a race like this.

"I have always given my all. I know the joy you get when you are leading and in a good position at the finish. I am looking forward to rediscovering these sensations in Cofidis."

Tüns will enter his 17th pro cycling season in 2025. His career highlights include winning the Flèche Wallonne in 2022 and two stages of the Tour de France (La Planche des Belle Fille top in 2019 and Le Grand Bornand in 2021).

He also won stages at the Criterium du Dauphiné, Ruta del Sol, and Tour de Romandie, and took overall victories at the Tour de Pollonne, Tour de Wallonie, and Norwegian Arctic Race.

Throughout his career, Tuns has competed in eight Grand Tours and 22 spring classics. Cofidis will support Tuns in his quest for the spring classics and the Ardennes Classics next season.

"The addition of Dylan Tuns to the Cofidis team represents a new departure for our organization as well as new ambitions in classic racing. Dylan is one of the best riders in the world, he has solid experience and his track record shows his full potential," said General Manager Cedric Vasseur.

"Dylan can win on any terrain and the Classic will be one of our major goals for the 2025 season. The team lacked leaders in Flandrienne and Ardenaise, but now they will be able to take on these races with riders who are capable of winning."
