The third stage of the Tour de France has just begun, and Tadej Pogachar is already leading the race and wearing the yellow jersey. After finishing fourth in stage 1 and 14th in stage 2, Pogachar is now in yellow.
Just a few weeks ago, he built the largest overall winning margin at the Giro d'Italia since 1965, riding many stages on a pink Colnago V4R race bike. Now that the pink livery has been discontinued, the Slovenian star never seems to shy away from color clutter, riding a new yellow-accented bike on stage 3 of the Tour de France.
The new bike has ample yellow treatment and yellow decals everywhere. The frame has a yellow Colnago logo, the wheels have yellow Enve logos, and the handlebar tape and custom saddle have splashes of yellow. As Pogachar himself said in a post-stage interview, "I never say no to yellow."
Yellow riders are huge for any brand or team, and companies want to maximize exposure by using this color.
Aside from seeing the yellow stickers, there are some interesting technical details in this collection of images. We are told that Pogachal's team made some weight reductions to his race bike prior to the Tour.
