"I am so proud of these girls. They protected me all day. I was able to cover most of the attacks in the last part of the race. I was able to cover most of the attacks at the end of the day. They kept turning all day, holding the gap and setting me up perfectly for the sprint. That run deserved more than fifth place, but I had it today," Gorsken said after the stage.
Garcia and Gorsken were unable to make the lead group on stage 4, but on Saturday they, along with teammates Georgia Baker and Silke Smulders, were more attentive.
