Andreas Leknesund will join Uno-X next season after signing a three-year contract through the end of 2026.
The move is something of a homecoming for Leknesund, who spent three years with Uno-X's development team before stepping up to the World Tour with DSM in 2021.
Leknesund quickly showed his qualities in DSM colors, winning the 2022 Tour de Suisse with an impressive breakaway victory in Esch, and the Trondheim native took the overall win in the Norwegian Arctic Race at the end of the summer.
At this year's Giro d'Italia, he finished second in Lago Laceno on stage 4 and took the pink jersey. He finished second in Lago Laceno on stage 4 and changed into the pink jersey. He held the lead for five days and continued to climb strongly in the remaining stages of the Giro, arriving in Rome in eighth place overall.
The addition of Recknessen, who just turned 24 in May, adds another dimension to Uno-X as a stage race team.
On Tuesday, Uno-X announced the signing of Magnus Kort from EF Education-Easy Post.
Uno-X's roster already includes Alexander Kristoff, Torstein Tholen, and Søren Wehrenskjold, and the ambitious team made its debut at the Tour de France in July.
