Listening to music during a ride is often controversial. Some people refuse to do so for safety reasons, while others (myself included) almost always have some sort of musical accompaniment. I have used many different types of headphones over the years and have broken quite a few of them when exposed to the rain.
After browsing through Amazon's Prime Day cycling products, I found Shokz bone-conduction headphones at 30% off in both the UK and the US.

Bone Conduction Headphones? Yes, a little different from standard earbuds. Instead of blocking your ears with something akin to a soundproofing seal, two pads are placed on the top of your cheekbones and (you guessed it) transmit sound to your inner ear via bone conduction. In effect, you can listen to music and listen to the sounds you want to hear in traffic or while driving.
The sound quality is not as bass rich as the in-ear type, but if safety is a concern (as it should be when cycling on the road), the trade-off is worth it.
