A few years ago, I was driving down an unlit road when I came across a cyclist behind me flashing his LED light handle plugs in the dark. I immediately noticed the lights and noticed how much wider the rider could see on the road by those lights. I was instantly taken aback and purchased a pair of Cateye Orb handlebar plug lights. I've been using them ever since, mostly on winter commutes and dark night rides. They are a convenient way to add light to my bike, and I feel safer if I can make myself a little more visible to motorists from behind.

The Orb bar-end light fits almost any round handlebar and can be easily moved between bikes. It uses two small coin cell batteries, which in my experience last several months. There is a flashing mode and an always-on mode, and to turn the light on or off, simply press the red colored part of the light.

For the price, I have no complaints about this feature. Running with this on in the dark is a good thing. When I drove behind him it really struck me how noticeable a cyclist in the dark was on the road.
