Vittoria Guazzini suffered a fractured pelvis in the Paris-Roubaix Fam Recon crash.

Vittoria Guazzini will miss Saturday's Paris-Roubaix Fam Avec Zwift after fracturing her pelvis during the final FDJ-Suez route reconnaissance on Wednesday.

The Italian rider suffered a violent crash and was abruptly stopped for the season; the FDJ-Suez rider was on the podium at both Trofeo Alfredo Binda and Le Samin des Dames, and finished fourth at the Dwars door Hlaanderen.

"During a reconnaissance of Paris-Roubaix, Vittoria Guazzini suffered a severe crash in the Roubaix area.

"The Roubaix fire brigade and the Roubaix hospital took care of the situation. [Vittoria suffered a pelvic fracture. Unfortunately, she will miss the Paris-Roubaix race and will be sidelined indefinitely."

"The team is now in the hospital.

The crash and fracture continue Guazzini's grim record in Paris-Roubaix. He also crashed in the first edition of the event, which he competed in from Valcar Travel & Service, and suffered a double fracture of his ankle.

The injury in the October 2021 race marked the end of Guazzini's season; after moving to FDJ Suez in 2022, she did not race to the Roubaix velodrome. However, based on her strong performance this spring, the 22-year-old was going to be a strong contender in this year's tough 145.5km event.

"It's a big loss for the team ahead of Paris-Roubaix.

"FDJ-Suez sends all its support to Vittoria and wishes her a speedy and full recovery.

Marta Cavalli has been the team's best performer in cobbled races since the women's edition was introduced in 2021, but last year's fifth-place finisher withdrew from the Strade Bianche and is working to fully recover from the effects of her accident on stage 2 of the 2022 Tour de France He has been away from racing ever since as he continues to work on his recovery.

The team has yet to announce the Paris-Roubaix Fam registered riders for 2023, but Grace Brown, Roes Adeguest, and Cecilie Uttrup-Ludwig, who finished 12th last year and entered the Roubaix velodrome, were the strongest riders for the team at the Tour de Flanders

They were the team's strongest riders in the Tour de Flanders.

They finished 24th, 26th, and 29th. After the race split at Koppenberg, a wheel slipped in front of them, stopping the peloton's momentum and forcing some riders to walk up the climb.

"It seems the more I love Flanders, the less Flanders loves me," Braun said on Instagram after the race.

"As I ran up the Koppenberg, I felt like I was surrounded by broken hearts. The race was over before it had really started."

The French team will hope for better luck on the road to Roubaix, but the cobbled course has already dealt them a severe blow in losing Guazzini.
