The National Cycling League (NCL) has announced a two-year collaboration with Wahoo Fitness. The partnership will be used for racer-fan interaction at four NCL events and at four criteriums this year for league-affiliated teams, the Denver Disruptors and Miami Knights.

The NCL's invitation-only race calendar begins April 8 in Miami Beach, Florida, and ends in Washington, D.C., in September.

The virtual experience will begin the night before the Miami Beach race, allowing fans to "virtually race with the stars of the sport," according to Kelly Staley, NCL's vice president of partnerships. Athletes from all 10 men's and women's teams will compete in a single sprint using Wahoo KICKR smart trainers. The results of the sprints will determine the starting order for Saturday's professional men's and women's races.

Evolo Cycling is entering its seventh year as a national elite development team and will head to Greece to begin the 2023 road season. The team completed a 12-day training camp last week near Santa Monica, California, adding four new riders to its roster of nine.

Five American riders, Leo Gullickson, Tobias Klein, Brody McDonald, Gabriel Shipley, and Brooks Wieneke, will return for another season. They will be joined by three up-and-coming American riders, Evan Boyle, Sean Christian, and Quinn Felton, as well as New Zealand's Xander White.
