The 2023 road racing season is about to get underway, with riders from around the world heading out into the sun to kick off the season.
The race, which runs from February 15-19, gives riders a chance to get up to speed early in the season in preparation for their big spring goals.

There are many big names heading to the Algarve this week, with riders taking on the mountain stages to Feuia and Malhão and the closing time trial in Lagoa, where a fierce GC battle is expected.
Ineos Grenadiers will line up what looks to be the strongest team in the race at the start, including Timen Arensmann, Filippo Ganna, Dani Martinez, and Tom Pidcock.
Bora Hansgrohe has Sergio Iguita and Jai Hindley, while Intermarche Circus Wanty will be led by Volta Valenciana winner and home hero Rui Costa.
UAE Team Emirates will be led by another Portuguese star, João Almeida, while Jumbo Visma will be led by Tobias Foss and Sam Omen. Other GC players to watch include Warren Barguil (Arkea-Samsik), Ilan Van Wilder (Soudal-Quick Step), Tobias Johannessen (Uno X), and Valentin Maduas (Groupama-FDJ).
Top sprinters will also be in attendance, led by Fabio Jacobsen (Soudal-QuickStep). Jake Stewart (Groupama-FDJ), Alexander Kristoff (Uno-X), Edward Theuns (Trek-Segafredo), Matteo Trentin (UAE Team Emirates) and Jordi Meeus (Bora-Hansgrohe) will also be racing.
