Cofidis Announces New Team Kit for 2023

Cofidis has unveiled a new kit for 2023. While it follows the same red and white color scheme, the patterns and designs have been stylishly updated.

The kit was designed and produced by Van Reisel, the Decathlon cycling brand, for both 2022 and 2023, and while the core sponsor is the same, it is notable that the team has changed its official bike supplier from De Rosa to Look.

On the design front, the iconic Cofidis red and white color block is retained, but with a tie-dye pattern within the red block; in Van Rysel's description of the design (opens in new tab), the brand claims it is an ode to the new digital world. "Our connected age is fast, very fast, sometimes 'glitching,' creating blurry, grainy images and choppy textures."

Red coloring has become a large part of the jerseys, with the chest of the torso previously divided into red and white color blocks extending to the shoulders.

The team shorts remain black, and while the bike sponsor De Rosa used to be embroidered on the hem of the shorts, they are now virtually indistinguishable from last year's design, except for the Colima wheel logo circling the cuff.

Team kits are the same for both men and women, and sponsors are shared between the two teams.

In October, Cofidis announced a return to look bikes after a three-year partnership with DeRosa Bikes, bringing the look back to the World Tour peloton for the first time since 2014.

Cofidis is the latest WorldTour team to unveil a new kit, and on Thursday, Beulah Hansgrohe announced a subtle update to the popular 2022 kit.

Cofidis men's team acquired Christophe Noppe from Arkea Samsic in October, completing its 30 player roster. The team continues to be led by Guillaume Martin, who extended his contract until 2024 along with Ion Izazire, while other key players Jose Elada and Eddy Fine also extended their contracts until the end of 2023.
