Ineos Grenadiers has unveiled its 2023 racing kit, switching from the dark blue of 2022 to bright red, orange, and blue.
The British team describes the colors as "visibly fast," a gesture that symbolizes their ambition and seems inspired by the fluorescent jerseys that team staff wear along the roadside to be visible to riders.
The main color of the jersey is described by the team as "brigade red. The left shoulder and side panels are dark blue, with a flash of orange on the right shoulder, similar to the Ineos America's Cup team, to increase the visibility of riders on the road.
The clothing was made by Belgian brand Bioracer and features team leader Geraint Thomas, Eoghan Bernal, Tom Pidcock, and newcomers who are part of a growing off-road collective in cyclocross, gravel, and mountain bike racing presented by Pauline Ferrand-Prevot.
"The team is shifting gears with the 2023 jersey," said team manager Rod Ellingworth. [We are excited about the design evolution and hope our fans like the new look as much as we do." Ineos' shift to brigade red reflects the way we plan to race.
"The introduction of the distinctive orange color is also important. Just as the orange kit that riders wear during training does, it increases visibility for riders during races, keeps them safe on the road, and supports them in all conditions. BioRacer is challenging the 2023 jersey and we look forward to racing in this "Visibly Fast" kit.
Ineos Grenadiers continues to rejuvenate its roster for 2023, with Tymen Arensman from Team DSM, Englishman Connor Swift from Arkea Samsic, 21-year-old Giro Baby winner Leo Hayter, Junior Time Trial World champion Josh Darling, and Canadian Michael Leonard.
Richard Kalapas has moved to EF Education Easy Post, and Paris-Roubaix winner Dylan van Baarle has joined Jumbo Visma.
The 2023 Ineos Grenadiers kits will be available for order on bioracershop.eu (opens in new tab) and the Ineos Grenadiers online team store starting December 19.
