Lot-Dousteny has completed his search for a new general manager and hired former rider and team boss Stéphane Oiro.
Oiro was a professional cyclist from 1992 to 2002, winning the French national title in 1996 and wearing the yellow jersey in the Tour de France.
After retirement, he managed Sojasun from 2009 to 2013, joining Cannondale as performance director in 2014; in 2018, he was the European general manager of the US team at Rally Cycling (now Human Powered Health).
Having lived in Belgium for the past 10 years, Hui Lo also worked as a business coach.
"I am very honored to have the confidence of the board and to be part of this beautiful team based in the heart of cycling. As a rider, I have spent many, many hours in the peloton with the riders of the lot. Passion, striving for excellence, ethics in sportsmanship, and riding courageously to succeed.
"We are facing challenging times, but I am ready to accept the responsibility of leading us into the next chapter. Like me, the Lot Destney team has always been committed to developing talent. Helping the women's team take the next step forward is a challenge I am very excited about."
Lotto Destony's (now Lotto Soudal) search for a new coach began when it became clear that John Lerang would not continue after four years at the helm. In the meantime, the team was relegated from the World Tour based on a three-year ranking system and would play in the second division from 2023 to 2025.
A major management reshuffle took place, with Lelangue being replaced by Paul de Geyter, who had been in charge for less than a year, and his predecessor Marc Serge was relegated to a less influential role before leaving the team at the end of 2021 with fellow team stalwart Hermann Frisson The team was to leave the Astana team at the end of 2021. At that point, Jana Schiele was appointed chief business officer from Astana.
Along with Hoylow, Lot-Dastny promoted Kurt Van de Woover from development team manager to sports manager, forming the management trio of Hoylow, Schiele, and Van de Woover.
"With the support of strong, reliable, and loyal sponsors, Lotto, the team's historical partner, and Dstny, a newcomer, we want to get results and win races," Huyraud said.
"Our sponsors trust this team to build our reputation in Belgium and abroad. We are confident that we can give back to them what they have given to this team. We have a strong and talented group of riders, supported by our sports manager Kurt van de Wouwer, our performance team, medical team, trainers, sports directors, soigneurs, mechanics, administrative team, and all our suppliers. It is an honor to lead them all."
"My years of experience in cycling and the fact that I have lived in Belgium for the last few years have taught me where the heart of cycling lies. As General Director, I have become Lotto Destony's biggest fan and have ambitions to bring Lotto Destony back to the World Tour and guarantee a bright future for the next decades."
