Belgian continental women's team Planteur Pla will race under the Phoenix des Seuninck banner in 2023 under a new identity.
The team, a sister team to Mathieu van der Pol's Alpecin Desseuninck, will have the same secondary title sponsor and the name of a Belgian window and door company on its kit.
Italy's Phoenix, previously the men's team's secondary title sponsor, will now step up to lead title sponsor.
Along with the new look seen at the end-of-season cyclocross races across Europe starting January 1, the Phoenix Deceuninck team will be looking to step up to the Women's World Tour in 2023.
The team is already one of the leading contenders for the 15th spot in the top division.
"We've applied and we have a chance. We feel good about our ranking and our points," sport director Chris Wouters told Cycling News in September.
They will face competition from AG Insurance-NXTG, the sister team of Quick Step, which boasts big names that signed Ashley Moolman Pacio in 2023. However, Plantur Pula is the top-ranked continental team and is favored to advance higher.
Saylin del Carmen Alvarado, Yara Castellain, Julie de Wilde, and Julie van der Velde are on the team roster for next season, along with Sophie Wright (UAE Team ADQ), Evi Kuipers (Human Powered Health) and Greta Maturano (Top Girls Fassaboltoro) are among the first players to be transferred.
"Deceuninck also extends its partnership with the men's team as title sponsor. Like Alpecin, Canyon, and Zwift," team manager Christoph Rudhoeft told Het Nieuwsblad.
Stefano Mion, CEO of Arpa Industriale, Fenix's parent company, said, "We want to support the growth of women's cycling. We are a team that does not rely solely on talent, but like Fenix, we aim for a high level of dedication and hard work."
