Ben Turner signed a contract extension with Ineos Grenadiers.

Talented British classic rider Ben Turner has extended his contract with Ineos Grenadiers through 2026.

The 23-year-old is in his debut season as a WorldTour pro, having worked hard and delivered results in the spring classics before making his Grand Tour debut in the Vuelta a EspaƱa.

Turner finished fourth in Brabantse Pijl, eighth in Dwars door Vlaanderen, and played a key role in Dylan van Baar's Paris-Roubaix win, overcoming cobbles to finish 11th. He followed that up with two more top-10 finishes in stages of the Vuelta.

"My first year with the team has been great. From the first race I was encouraged to integrate into the team and I think I did that with everyone," Turner said.

"Campaigning in the Classics was a bit of a dream and leading up to my first Grand Tour in the Vuelta, I feel like I've grown throughout the season. I never doubted that joining this team was the best thing for me and I couldn't have been more right. I am very excited to continue to grow and race as a Grenadier."

Turner is joined by a young and talented group that includes Tom Pidcock, Magnus Sheffield (USA), Luke Plapp (Australia), Honatan Narvaez (Australia), and veteran road captains Luke Rowe and Filippo Ganna. They are part of the Ineos Grenadiers Classic Riders.

The Ineos Grenadiers prioritized investing in young talent this offseason, moving Juan Barr to Jumbo Visma and Richard Kalapas to EF Education Easy Post, while Richie Porte retired, for the new 2023 squad, Giro Baby winner Leo Hayter, Arkea Samsic's Connor Swift, Team DSM's 22-year-old Tymen Arendsman, 18-year-old Canadian talent Michael Leonard, and junior time trial world champion Josh Tarling.

"Ben has done very well in his first season as a Grenadier and has shown us what a great talent he is," said team manager Rod Ellingworth.

"Ben had a very impressive first season as a Grenadier and showed us what a great talent he is," team manager Rod Ellingworth said.

"Ben has made impressive contributions to the Classic campaign. He has very quickly and naturally adapted to professional cycling and we have no doubt that he will have a very illustrious career ahead of him."
