Preparations for the 2023 season are already steadily underway, with teams in the peloton already completing future contracts.
QuickStep Alpha Vinyl has announced a team presentation for Friday, January 6. The team will start fresh as Soudal-QuickStep next season with a new lead sponsor.
The team will be presented at the Plopsaland theme park in De Panne, Belgium, where the new structure and possibly the new kit will be unveiled amid roller coasters and water slides.
Before the teams join the parade, Soudal-QuickStep will be presented on a stage in the park, where World and Vuelta a España champion Remco Evenpole, sprinters Fabio Jacobsen and Julian Alaphilippe and other star athletes are also expected to join the festivities.
The team's trio of newcomers, sprinter Tim Merlier, climber Jan Hilt, and classicist Casper Pedersen will also participate.
The event may confirm which Grand Tours will be targeted next season, something that Evenpoel has been eagerly awaiting.
He will choose either the Giro d'Italia or the Tour de France as his primary target this season and has already said he will announce his decision in January. The Belgian star said he has already made his decision, hinting that he will choose the Giro, which has a 70-km time trial compared to the Tour's 22-km.
In an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws last month, Evenpoel said, "You could say it's the Giro for me, the Tour for Jacobsen, and the Vuelta for Mélié," while also saying that winning the Tour is his "ultimate dream."
The 2023 season will be the 21st season in the peloton for the team, founded in 2003 as Quick-Step Davitamon. Soudal Quickstep has had Innergetic, Omega Pharma, and Deceuninck as longtime co-sponsors, and Quickstep has been a constant presence for the past 20 years.
