The team could have a Swiss title sponsor, currently Italian apparel brand Q36.5. Doug Ryder of Dimension Data and Qhubeka will serve as team director, with Vincenzo Nibali as technical advisor and Q36.5 brand ambassador. Alex Sanz Vega will be Head of Performance, and Aalto Vierhouten and Gabriele Missaglia will be Sportif directors.
The roster for Q36.5 includes 11 from World Tour teams, three from other professional teams, eight from Continental teams, and one neo-pro.
Bauer and Howson are from BikeExchange-Jayco, Donovan from Team DSM, Badilatti and Ludvigson from Groupama-FDJ, Brambilla and Moschetti from Trek-Segafredo, Joey Roskoff and Carl Frederick Hagen transferred from Human Power Health and Israel-Premier Tech.
The team signed several talented young players who struggled at the world tour and pro team level but showed potential as players under 23. They include Antonio Puppio, Filippo Conca, and Alessandro Fedeli.
Corey Davis of the United States comes from the German Continental team Maloja Pushbikers, Nicholas Zukofsky of Canada from Human Powered Health, and Cyrus Monk of Australia from Meiyo CCN in Asia to race in Europe. They will return to the European race.
The teams will have to contend with other leading professional teams and Israeli Premier Tech, which has been relegated from the World Tour, for wildcard invitations to major World Tour races. However, with rider registration and Nibali's role, they still have a chance to qualify for the 2023 Giro d'Italia and the RCS Sport race.
"Cycling ignites positive change, and I believe this roster of riders and staff will live our mission, commit to each other, and race with passion and fight," the rider said when announcing the roster.
"Progress is at the heart of what we do, and our goal is also to help communities grow sustainably with the upward mobility that bikes offer. Bikes not only bring people together, they move people forward. As a team, we don't just race to win. We race to shape the future in a positive way, with a focus on mobility, education, and development in Africa."
"We have brought together talented, motivated, and dedicated individuals who can be competitive in all types of races and terrains," claimed Sans Vega.
"We want to perform at the highest level right from the start. The experienced players who have joined us from the World Tour bring a wealth of knowledge and will be able to mentor the younger players on the team. It's a great combination for one of the best professional teams."
