Cofidis has announced that it will return its bikes to Luc starting with the 2023 season. The French brand will supply bikes to the team's men's and women's road and paracycling teams.
The French team, which has been in existence since 1997, will return to the brand that supplied bikes from 2009 to 2014. The team will transition from Italian brand De Rosa, which has supplied bikes to the team for the past three seasons.
"We are excited to give our riders the opportunity to ride Luc bikes for the next few years," said Cofidis General Manager Cedric Vasseur. This new partnership is another step in the Cofidis team's pursuit of performance."
Look has a long history in road racing, with Bernard Inaud winning the 1984 Tour de France using the brand's pedals, and Greg LeMond winning his first Tour victory the following year on the bike.
"As a UCI WorldTour team, we are more than ever committed to the performance level of every component on our bikes and want to provide the ultimate in quality for every rider. We are also proud to use 100% French high-tech products," Vasseur continued.
"We are confident that the agreement between Cofidis and Look will provide our UCI WorldTour teams, women's teams, and Handysport teams with the best product range in all areas of cycling, including road, track, and gravel. Starting in 2023, with Look bikes, we will start a new chapter We are pleased to open it and continue our quest to win at the highest level."
Cofidis is not the only major team to change bike and equipment suppliers in 2023: UAE Team Emirates will switch from Campagnolo to Shimano Groupset and Jumbo Visma from Shimano to SRAM. Also, Arkea Samsic will switch from Canyon bikes to Bianchi to step up to the World Tour, and B&B Hotels-KTM will switch from KTM bikes to the Swiss brand BMC.
