Ewers Ends Successful Season with EF Education and TIBCO-SVB Contract Extension

Veronica Ewers has signed a three-year contract extension with EF Education-TIBCO-SVB that will keep her racing with EF Education-TIBCO-SVB through 2025.

In his breakout season, Ewers has become one of cycling's brightest future stars with seven podium finishes on the international calendar.

"One of the reasons this team is so great is because it gives me the opportunity to grow. One of the reasons this team is so great is because I am given the opportunity to continue to grow.

"I am really excited to be a part of how far this team can go. The team and I are learning and growing. I get to be a part of achieving my goal of being in the top five on the World Tour."

"I also really love my sponsors. Looking forward, I know the staff and management are working to build a team that can do that, and I'm very excited to be a part of that."

Eworth joined the team as a trainee in August 2021 and signed her first full-season contract to compete on the World Tour beginning in the 2022 season. She won the Festival Elsie Jacobs and Navarre Women's Elite Classic, the Emacmene Nafaroako Women's Elite Classic, the Durango-Durango Emacmene Sarria, and the Giro delle Miglia Internazionale Donne Elite, She did not disappoint, reaching the podium in the Tre Valli Varesine women's race.

With numerous top-10 finishes, she finished fourth in stages and ninth overall at the Tour de France.

A former soccer player, Ewers said she is beginning to feel at home in both cycling and EF Education-TIBCO-SVB as she looks to bond with her teammates and staff over the next two seasons.

"It's really, really great to connect with so many people from different cultures and backgrounds and get to know each and every one of them, whether they are riders or staff. For example, Allen, the bus driver and soigneur. It's a gift to be able to be as amazingly efficient as he is and really make every rider feel comfortable," says Ewers.

"I think signing a long-term contract with a team and continuing the relationship you've already established will keep that relationship stronger than bouncing back and forth between teams."

As EF Education-TIBCO-SVB looks to become one of the top five teams in the world, Ewers hopes to continue his development as a rider in the big races of the World Tour.

"I'm really excited to continue with this team. It was obviously a big decision. I'm relieved to be on the team for quite some time. I'm really excited to see what kind of rider I can develop into with this team. I think it's going to be good."
