Pauline Ferrand-Prevot is set to sign a racing contract with a new off-road team that will be affiliated with Ineos Grenadiers starting in 2023. According to multiple reports, the multi-discipline world champion could become the first female rider to compete in the British team's version as part of a new off-road campaign.
Ferrand-Prevot is currently under contract with Absolut Absalon BMC for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, dropping her previous efforts in road racing and cyclocross to focus on mountain biking.
She holds three world titles at the same time, winning the elite women's XCC short track and XCO cross country in Les Gets, France in August and the XCM Marathon in Hazerslev, Denmark in September.
Phelan-Prevot is the first athlete to win all three titles in the same season and is aiming to win her fourth world title of the season at the first UCI Gravel World Championships in Veneto, Italy, on October 8.
The Ineos Grenadiers are one of the richest teams on the World Tour and have long been criticized for not building a women's team.

He is the reigning elite men's cyclocross world champion and represented Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics and the European Championships where he won gold in the XCO cross-country event.
Ferrand-Prevot has not confirmed whether he will resume his road racing and cyclocross career. Although she has devoted the past two seasons to mountain biking, she is one of the sport's most versatile riders.
She road raced with Rabobank from 2012 to 2016 and joined Canyon-SRAM from 2017 until the end of 2020.
