Allison Jackson Returns to EF Education-TIBCO-SVB in 2023

Allison Jackson Leaves Rib Racing-Stra and Returns to EF Education-TIBCO-SVB in 2023 Allison Jackson, a Canadian Olympian and former national road and time trial champion, rejoins the U.S.-based Women's World Team and will focus her leadership on the Spring Classics.

"I have so many good memories of being a part of this team. Linda Jackson is a legend. She has a passion for women in this sport. Alison Jackson said of Linda Jackson, the team's founder and coach. 'Allison Jackson is the founder and manager of the team. I'm excited to invest in the team and have the team invest in me."

"I'm a Classic rider. All of the spring classics are at the top of my goal list. I like being in the mix. It's a hard race with a lot of history. It's a one-day race with an epic storyline from start to finish, whether it's bad weather or obstacles.

Allison Jackson turned pro in 2015 and participated in the then TIBCO-SVB program for two seasons in 2018 and 2019 before moving to Sunweb and the then top team of Rib Racing Extra for the last two seasons.

While she was away from TIBCO-SVB, the team moved up the ranks of the Women's WorldTeam this season, bringing in EF Education as title sponsor. Led by former professional racer Linda Jackson, the team is one of the longest-running women's teams, having started in 2007, and focuses on preparing Canadian and American athletes to race in the Olympics.

"We are delighted to have Allison back on the team. They have both grown so much in the last few years and I believe they have a lot to give each other, AJ is incredibly strong and reads the races well, especially the Classics," said Linda Jackson. [And with a stronger group of riders, we should be able to get more results in these races. Our goal is to be in the top five on the World Tour in the next few years, and AJ is part of that process. We look forward to working with Action Jackson #2 again."

This year, Allison Jackson won the points battle at the Tour of Scandinavia, narrowly missing out on defending her road title as Canadian National Champion. She finished second in the Drentse Acht van Westerveld, surpassing her fifth place finish in 2021.

Last year she was crowned Canadian national champion in both road and time trial, won a stage at the Simak Ladies Tour, and took the points jersey at the Ladies Tour of Norway. She also placed sixth at the 2021 World Championships and competed in the Tokyo Olympics.

She will further her leadership role as the team aims for a top-five world ranking in 2023.

"I have a vision for the future of this team, and my goal is to be a top-five team, but I think it will be a plus for the team to have players like me in the classics and spring races. I am very much looking forward to playing that role and gaining a lot of experience on the road to help the team achieve its ambitions," said Allison Jackson.

"What's also really exciting is that there are a lot of different riders on the team from me. It's a team that has won climbing and stage races and I'm excited to be a part of this program. It's exciting to race with a group of riders who are confident in themselves, even in races where I'm not the type of rider who can win. I think it will be a really fun blend of playing the role of teammate and sometimes leader in some of the races."
