UAE Team Emirates has acquired Felix Großschartner from Bora-Hansgrohe, adding to Tadej Pogachar's support for 2023. The Austrian is on a two-year deal as Pogachar looks to avenge his defeat in this year's Tour de France.
Großschartner is the team's second newcomer for next season, after Tim Wellens, who is moving from Lotto-Soudal.
"Felix is a very talented rider and we are thrilled to have him on the team," general manager Mauro Gianetti said in a statement released by the team on Wednesday. Großschartner has been a pro since 2016 and has finished in the top 10 overall at the last two Vuelta a España, The 28-year-old has won the Tour of Turkey in 2019, the Vuelta a Burgos in 2020 and last season's Tour of the Alps in He has six professional wins to his credit, including a stage win, and in June he won both the Austrian road race and time trial titles.

Pogachar is under contract with UAE Team Emirates until the end of 2027, and most of the team's GC talent, including George Bennett, Joao Almeida, Brandon McNulty, and Rafal Maika, will be under contract next season.
