Stefan Küng has extended his contract with Groupama-FDJ for another three years.
The Swiss time triallist and Classics contender has attracted interest from several major WorldTour teams, but will remain a key part of the French team.
He will lead the Classics team and will play a key role in supporting David Gault in the upcoming Tour de France. He will also continue to be involved in the development of the team's time trial equipment and race technology.
Kühn's new contract means that he will remain with Groupama-FDJ until the end of 2025.
He will be defending the European time trial title next week in Munich after finishing third in the rain-soaked road race world championships in Yorkshire in 2019, third in the time trial world championships in 2020, and the European time trial title in 2021.
His resume includes 22 career wins and third place in this year's Paris-Roubaix, fifth in the Tour de Flanders, and third in the E3 Saxo Bank Classic. He finished fifth overall in the Tour de Suisse and was road captain of Groupama-FDJ, which finished fourth overall in the Tour de France.
Team DSM was eager to sign Kühn as leader of the 2023 Classics, but it appears that he chose to remain with Groupama-FDJ after securing a similar contract offer in excess of €1 million.
"I feel good in the Groupama-FDJ cycling team and I get a lot of support from the people I work with.
"We have made a lot of progress over the last four years and it was important to stay the course. Having quality riders on the team, especially the young new riders, is very motivating. I can share my experience with them
"I have many different talents. The team expects me to be the road captain, but I can also ride with some freedom during the week-long stage races and the classics. We will have a very strong team for the classics and I am already looking forward to it."
"We'll continue to work on research and development, and we'll also deepen our relationship with (bicycle brand) Lapierre.
Kuehn is in the prime of his career and looks forward to special success in time trials and on the road in 2024.
"2024 will be a very important season for me with the Paris Olympics and the World Championships in Zurich.
