Rapha announced the renewal of its partnership with EF Pro Cycling for 2020, not only producing the team's eye-catching pink and blue kit for the season, but also a video series called "Alt Cal," which will feature the riders' "alternative calendar." spotlighting the challenges of the project.
The company aims to highlight not only EF riders, but also unique characters in various cycling disciplines, such as Dirty Kanza winner Colin Strickland and criterium specialist Justin Williams. It will cover a variety of races, from Alberto Bettiol's stunning victory in the Tour of Flanders to the Tulsa Tough, Leadville 100, Cape Epic, and top gravel races.
Also featured will be Canyon-SRAM and EF Pro Cycling members Alex Howes, Lachlan Morton, Logan Owen, Magnus Court, Sebastian Langefeldt, Bettiol, Tanel Kangert, and Tejay Van Garderen.
"For 16 years we have been committed to creating the best cycling clothing in the world. During that time, our cutting-edge kit has seen some of the most prestigious podiums in the sport, and after a two-year hiatus, in 2019 we are returning to the men's World Tour with EF Education First and a plan to disrupt the status quo," said Rapha.
"Our goal was to discover unique cycling by getting inside the sport we know and love. Our film crew followed a year of racing firsthand, from the prestigious WorldTour one-day races and Grand Tours to a whole new alternative calendar event where mountain biking and gravel riding compete. Now we are recharged and ready for a new year of racing.
Fans of the U.S. team can purchase a variety of EF Pro Cycling replica clothing from Rapha, including Alex Howes' national champion jersey and similarly themed but less flashy blue and black-based designs.
