The Tour Colombia 2.1 will start Tuesday in Tunja with a 16.7km team time trial. Italian pro continental team Vini Zabù-KTM will be the first of the 27 teams to start at noon local time. [Portugal's Continental Team Efapal will be last, followed by Mexico's Continental Team Canel's. [Movistar will start the race at 12:48, Detunink-Quickstep at 12:54, UAE Team Emirates at 12:57, EF Pro Cycling at 13:06, and Team Ineos at 13:09.
EF Pro Cycling won last year's team time trial and put Rigoberto Urán in the leader's jersey. The Colombian ceded the lead to Dečuninck-Quickstep sprinter Alvaro Hodeg the next day, only to regain the lead the day after. Bob Jungels and Julian Alaphilippe of Detunink-Quickstep then took the lead, and Astana's Miguel Angel Lopez took the overall win on the final day.
The time trial in Tunja on Tuesday will take place on a relatively flat course.
Competitors are not allowed to use aerodynamic time trial machines, but standard road bikes.
