10 new T47 bottom brackets from CeramicSpeed

CeramicSpeed has expanded its T47 bottom bracket product range with new derivatives.

CeramicSpeed, a Danish company renowned for its extremely low-friction bottom brackets, has improved its T47 Standard bottom bracket to fit almost any bike frame or drivetrain combination.

The appeal of the T47 Standard is that it combines the low-maintenance design of threaded bottom brackets with a size and shape that easily converges with a variety of standards.

Gravel bike and cyclocross riders are enthusiastic about the T47 standard, which offers better durability than press-fit bottom brackets in dusty and muddy conditions.

Ceramic Speed's claim has always been that its ceramic bearings spin with better energy efficiency than any of its rivals, saving watts with every crank turn.

Unlike steel, ceramic bearings can be formed into a more perfect circle than pure metal. The spherical accuracy and proportioning of their geometry allows ceramic bearings to achieve surprisingly tight tolerances, narrowing the margin for potential energy transfer losses.

Ten new T47 ceramic speed bottom brackets are available with options for Campagnolo UltraTorque, Shimano, SRAM GXP & DUB, and other 30mm spindle cranks.

The 2020 T47 CeramicSpeed bottom bracket has a hardened steel race set inside a threaded aluminum cup to hold the bearing in place.

CeramicSpeed's 2020 model T47 bottom bracket price is €289 for all new versions. If an even lower friction bearing interface is desired, CeramicSpeed offers an upgrade to the T47's steel races with metallic coating, priced at €389.

Each T47 bottom bracket comes with an installation tool specifically designed for Ceramispeed's bottom bracket cup design and a syringe of grease specially formulated for the brand.
