Sidi's Sixty is celebrating 60 years of road shoe success with a bold limited edition product called Python.
Based on the Celebration shoe series that debuted late last year, Sixty's advanced construction and carbon sole add a unique reptile print finish.
The shoe's material blend is as exotic as its pseudo snakeskin finish. Sidi's Sixty uses laser-perforated TechPro microfiber for the upper, which is highly breathable. Airflow management is also enhanced by the presence of a sole vent system controlled by a sliding mechanism.
Power transmission is also excellent thanks to the carbon fiber sole, and overall comfort is enhanced by the Tecno-4 Plus fastening dials. Sidi's tightening system provides very even force distribution when tightening this ultralight road shoe, preventing fatigue cramps and hot spots during long rides
In addition to the Sixty's comfort and performance features, its unique selling point is its python pattern finish. And for those potentially sensitive to the notion that real snakeskin has been used, Sixty definitely hasn't done it.
The snakeskin finish is delicately printed on Sixty's exclusive fabric finish. An interesting aspect of the marketing applied to this new Sidi Sixty Python is that the Italian brand is not sure exactly how many it will produce.
The Python is priced similarly to the current Sixty commemorative edition shoes, at €339, but the Italian shoe brand remains unwilling to confirm the weight of the Sixty shoe series.
