Toronto Group Surpasses Fundraising Goal with 24-Hour Zwift Ride to Benefit COVID-19 Hospital

The Toronto Hustle Cycling team and City Councillor Brad Bradford beat their goal of raising $150,000 for the Michael Gallon Hospital Fund to support the hospital's efforts to treat patients affected by COVID-19.

The group held a 24-hour Zwift ride beginning Friday, garnering support from professional riders such as Katherine Pendrel, Leah Kirchman, Kate Courtney, and Alessandro Baran, who pushed the total raised to over $182,000 as of Saturday afternoon.

Councilmember Bradford is encouraging fellow cyclists to join him on Zwift as the 24-hour mark approaches. Mayor John Tory will also join the live stream starting at 5:30PM EDT, and noted cycling commentator Brad Thorner will commentate the last 15 minutes of the "race" at 5:45.

A donation page can be found here, and you can join the CRUSH COVID Toronto Hustle ride on Zwift.
