Gravel riders disappointed that Dirty Kanza has been postponed to September can take solace in the fact that Dirty Kanzelled.

Instead of the Kansas gravel grinding event's May 30 race, gravel riders are encouraged to follow the lead of former road pro-turned-gravel bike adventurer Lawrence ten Dam.

Dirty Kanzelled will start at 6 a.m. on May 30 and will be between 100 or 200 miles, rolling as much gravel as possible. Ten Dam has already pioneered some tasty routes in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Riders must travel alone or in pairs, depending on the COVID-19 regulations in your area; the people behind the Dirty Kanzelled initiative make it clear that it is not run like a traditional race, but a typical quirky gravel event prizes are available.

Bonker of the Day is awarded to the biggest hunger knocker. The winner will receive a cycling nutritional supplement from Nuun and Clif Bar.

The CO2 Patron of the Day will be awarded to the rider with the most punctures and will receive five pairs of Specialized Pathfinder gravel tires.

The rider with the highest heart rate in Dirty Kanzelled will receive a Wahoo Tickr heart rate monitor as The Hummingbird prize.

The Not So Early Bird award will be given to the most tardy starter.

As with all gravel riding events, style is expected. The most fashionable Dirty Kanzelled rider, as evidenced by tagged social media, will be awarded the MooiBoy of the Day, which translates to "Pretty Boy. five pairs of Sockeleon merino socks and a riding jersey are given as a reward for this achievement.

The Crash Test Dummy is a prize that no one wants to win, but if you show a great lying-in performance, you will receive a three-pack of Quacksalver sports cosmetics.

The most spectacular post-ride photo will receive a party animal prize, along with beer and barbecue.

Finally, the King of Comuto award goes to the creative person and is given to the best route made in Comuto.
