Eurobike, November 24-26

Eurobike 2020 is set to take place November 24-26. Originally scheduled to take place in early September, the trade fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The southwestern German state of Baden-Württemberg, which is hosting the trade fair, issued new COVID-19 guidelines on Tuesday, saying the fair could take place if it followed advice on safety and social distancing.

Eurobike was cancelled in early May, and a Plan B was quickly mooted, including limiting public access in November and making it available only to purely B2B participants. The organizers did not confirm any restrictions on the event, except for the official COVID-19 guidelines.

"The authorities have now given the final go-ahead," read a statement from the organizers. [According to the Baden-Württemberg State Corona Regulation of June 23, trade fairs may be held in compliance with the Corona Guidelines from September onwards, and we are pleased that the special edition of Eurobike, which will take place November 24-26, 2020, will be held in accordance with these regulations."

Traceability, social distance and hygiene measures will be put in place, and organizers say they are working to implement the appropriate measures as soon as possible.

"We take our responsibility to our exhibitors and trade visitors very seriously and will introduce corresponding protection and hygiene concepts. The Eurobike organization is currently working to put in place detailed protection measures as soon as possible, in accordance with the authorities' guidelines.

"Furthermore, we continue to closely monitor the current situation and developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and are in close contact with the authorities. We will endeavor to provide a high degree of planning security for Eurobike 2020 and clarify any uncertainties."
