With only five wins this year, one-third of their 2019 total, AG2R La Mondiale had a tough season. Their standout riders were Nance Peters in the Tour de France and Benoit Kosnefrois with three wins; at 25, he is really starting to show the potential he showed when he won the under-23 world title in 2017.

However, the team as a whole struggled, losing Romain Bardet to a crash and concussion at the Tour and missing out on wins in most of the smaller races in France due to cancellations. We look back at their year, Procycling's Ed Pickering gives them credit, and also looks at their 2021 roster.

On Team Sunweb, the German-registered team won 16 races, the most since 2014, when they won 41. The team won three stages at the Tour and the Flèche Wallonne, finished second at the Giro d'Italia, and had two breakthrough riders this year in Jai Hindley and Marc Hirschi.
