Richie Porte, Lawrence de Plas, and Adam Yates appeared in a video by Ineos Grenadier to reveal their 2021 race kits, as the British team looks to bounce back after failing to win the 2020 Tour de France, with these three new additions to the team this winter Joining them are.
Porte ran for the team formerly known as Team Sky from 2012-2015, helping Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome win the Tour de France; he moved to BMC Racing in 2016 and then spent two years with Trek-Segafredo He was the first rider to win the Tour de France last year, setting a career-high in the process. He returned to Ineos Grenadiers after finishing a career-high third in last year's Tour de France.
Adam Yates moved over from Mitchelton-Scott after finishing ninth in the Tour de France. The British rider has previously finished fourth in this race and won the white jersey in 2016.
De Plus joins after an injury-plagued season in Jumbo Visma and leaves his Ineos nemesis to bolster the climbing squad. Tom Pidcock and Daniel Martinez also joined the team after Chris Froome moved to the Israeli Startup Nation. Pidcock officially joined the team in March after the cyclocross season.
