Canyon has joined the long list of retailers partnering with Cyclescheme, and from today the entire range of Canyon bikes can be purchased through the scheme. This includes the most premium models and the electric range, thanks to the removal of the £1,000 cap in 2019.
Cyclescheme's offer has until now been limited to products sold primarily through bike stores and dealers. Now that Canyon has partnered with the scheme, buyers will, for the first time, be able to purchase all of Canyon's bikes at such a great price.
Under the Salary Sacrifice scheme, the buyer essentially "rents" the bike through their employer, pays monthly out of their gross salary to save on income tax, and buys the bike back at the end of the year for a minimal fee. At the same time, they can purchase all the necessary accessories for bike commuting, such as the best commuter helmet, the best bike lock, the best bike light, etc.
With UK bike rates skyrocketing through the pandemic and the country set to start commuting to the office again, bike commuting is more attractive than ever. Canyon's addition of all kinds of bicycles, not just city or hybrid bikes, will make the scheme even more attractive to those of us who have recently discovered the joys of road cycling as well as gravel and mountain biking. [Says Aaron Budd, Canyon's UK sales and marketing manager. 'Changing your commuting habits, even if it means biking once or twice a week, can be very beneficial to your health and the environment.'
To make ordering a bike as easy as possible, Canyon has fully implemented the Cyclescheme purchase process on its website, complete with a savings calculator: when you place an order using the Cyclescheme payment method, the total amount of your order, including shipping and Bikeguard fees Use it to apply for a certificate. Once approved by both your employer and Cyclescheme, the certificate can be redeemed against your order.
