Earlier this year, Canyon expanded its gravel bike lineup with the addition of the Grizl. The new bike includes features such as increased tire clearance and mounting points for panniers and bikepacking bags, positioning the Canyon Grizl as an adventure gravel bike rather than a racy gravel bike or a go-fast-oriented gravel bike.

It is now a "go-fast" gravel bike.

Currently, Canyon offers an aluminum model of the Grizl, and a complete bike with the same features as the carbon Grizl can be purchased starting at €1,499.00. This means that a complete bike with the same features as the carbon Grizl can be purchased starting at €1,499.00.

Like the carbon Grizl, the aluminum version has 50mm more tire clearance, but comes standard with 40mm Schwalbe G-One tires from the factory. It will also feature Canyon's Gravel Pro geometry, which is used on both the Grizl and Grail models.

The aluminum Grizl, like its composite sisters, has all the mounting points for bags and storage for long-distance adventures, and the Grizl remains the only drop-bar bike in Canyon's range that is compatible with pannier bags No less.

The aluminum Grizl models are also available with RockShox Rudy suspension forks, part of the new SRAM XPLR ecosystem with 30mm travel. Those who want to go the standard route can opt for the standard carbon Grizl fork, which has a lowrider rack and mounting points for additional bottles.

Another new feature added to the aluminum version is an expanded size range. Specifically, an XXXS frame option has been added, providing more options for smaller riders.

Pricing for the Grizl AL starts at €1,499, which includes Shimano GRX400 shifting, alloy DT Swiss Gravel LN wheels, and a Canyon SP0057 seatpost. Topping the list is a €1,999 model with Shimano GRX parts and a RockShox Rudy XPLR suspension fork with 30mm travel. Prices in pounds sterling, US dollars, and Australian dollars are yet to be determined.
