SD Works Goes All Out for Vollering at Tour de France Femmes

SD Worx team manager Danny Stamm emphasized that the team is aiming for overall victory in the Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift.

The team is organized around Demi Vollering's overall classification challenge, prioritizing the yellow jersey above all else.

"I'm going to try to win the overall with Demi Vorreling," Stam said. It would be an insult to our ambitions not to go for the Tour win." The green jersey with Lotte Kopecký is also a goal if it fits into our plan for the eventual victory."

"I'd like to win the Tour," Stamm said.

Vollering has publicly stated that this year's Tour de France Femme is his goal, and he has been training and racing around this race throughout the season. As a result, much is expected of the Dutchman, but Stam trusts the team around him.

"Of course there is a lot of pressure," he said. The outside world expects her to win the Tour." But Demi has the competition she needs to win the final."

"The yellow jersey is not a given, but Demi is well prepared and will start in France with a top team to support her.

Volering will be the team's number one rider, but there is also a strong climber in Ashley Moolman-Pasio, who has twice finished second in the Giro d'Italia Donnay and has the potential to finish second overall.

"With Ashley Moolman Pasio, we have a second hurdle," said Pasio. I think having two overall contenders gives us an advantage." I think it's an advantage to have two overall contenders. It's interesting to have two riders, Ashley and Demi, who can go far in a final with a lot of climbing. That's always been a strength of this team."

Lotte Kopecký could be in contention for the green jersey, but Stamm suggested that he would only look at it if it fits with the team's ambitions to win the overall. The Belgian hopes to win the stage 3 uphill finish and take the green jersey.

"Time will tell if yellow and green go hand in hand. We'll see after three stages if Lotte can play a part in the battle for the green jersey." And we will see if expending energy on the intermediate sprints pays off. We are a strong team on all terrains and that gives us some cards to play."

As for Kopecký, he may have to make a decision on the Tour's tricky stages. The winner of Strade Bianche may have his eyes on the gravel roads of stage 4, but may have to prioritize his team's GC ambitions.

"The danger lies in the other stages," Stamm said. 'For example, on gravel road stages... For example, the gravel stages... You can't win the Tour there, but you can certainly lose it."
